The Villa Bassi Rathgeb Museum offers a delicious breakfast at the museum every Sunday from October 27 to December 8. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. a guided tour of the museum and the exhibition “Eva Arnold, All About Women”. The cost of breakfast is 4 euros. Entrance to the villa and exhibition – 8 euros (only for those who have breakfast).

All about a woman (Tutto sulle donne)

17.05.2019 – 08.12.2019 | MUSEO DI VILLA BASSI RATHGEB | ABANO TERME

The exhibition “Eva Arnold, all about a woman”, the first Italian exhibition dedicated to famous women of the era of great American photography. For example African-American women from the Harlem ghetto, the famous Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, and women from Afghanistan 1969.

The work of Eva Arnold always reaches extraordinary levels. Eva Arnold is the daughter of the Rabbi who emigrated from Russia to America. A woman fights with Inge Morat for the title of the first female photographer at the Magnum Agency. In fact, they were both the first photographers to be admitted to the agency. The only agency reserved for them is exclusively for great male photographers such as Henri Cartier Bresson or Werner Bischoff.

The exhibition will last until December 8th. Opening hours: Thursday to Sunday from 16:00 to 19:00 and Sunday morning from 10:00 to 12:30. Ticket € 11.00 including entrance to the villa and exhibition.

The exhibition will be held until December 31, 2019: seven young artists in many resort institutions will tell tourists about the history and culture of Eugane thermal mud. Various sculptures, installations, photographs, video, and audio related to healing mud will be presented. And also, they show the work of other artists from different cultures and eras.

The curator of the exhibition, Giovanna Morocco, together with Alessio Ballerini, Daniela Di Maro, Elena Candeo, Giacomo Herboni, Georgia Severi, and Simone Sala. The exhibition will be held in the hotel complex of Abano and Montegrotto: Hotel Terme all’Alba, Hotel Smeraldo, Hotel Dolomiti, Hotel Gran Torino, Hotel Belvedere, Hotel Eliseo, Hotel Commodore.

Poisons and magic potions. Great Crime Stories (Veleni e magiche pozioni. Grandi storie di cure e delitti)

The exhibition reveals the secrets of poisons and medicines from antiquity to the present, from archaeological finds to artworks, passing through stories about witches and magic potions. Historical facts are combined with modern scientific research, which explains their reality and refutes false beliefs.
