How to Get to Abano Terme from Venice by Train + Taxi Transfer

There is no direct train from Venice to Abano Terme. The closest place to go by train without a transfer is Terme Euganee Abano-Montegrotto in Montegrotto Terme.

To get from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the Venice train station at Piazzale Roma, you will need to take the bus. Buy a bus ticket (about €5) either at the airport or from the bus driver. Buses leave from the airport to the city every 15 minutes.

Train tickets start at €4.90 per person for electric trains with Reg and RV markings only. Tickets for high-speed trains will be more expensive.

After buying a ticket, you will need to punch it in a machine by inserting the ticket into the punch slot.

Check the “Partenza” (“Departure”) board for trains heading to Ferrara, Rovigo, or Bologna. The running line under the direction shows all the stops that the train will make.
